5 stars: Good for learning I have this dictionary School English/German, on Mac, iPad, iPhone and now Android. For learning it presents both a description and examples when the latter is enabled. This means the definitions are concise but examples are closer to a monolingual dictionary. Because thee is no single shop to buy it from you might have to buy it 3x (not ideal) and it is targeted/written for English learners so it is a shame that there is no German pronunciation. NB iOS version also has an exercise mode.

3 stars: English - German is very nice; full explanation with pronunciation. Perfekt! But German - English sucks. No pronunciation, no grammatical information(e.g. plural of nouns, past & perfekt of verb). Lacks examples. User Interface: after searching word, when I want to go back, it displays keyboard. It always interrupts me. I think it is good time to display keyboard when user selects search area.
