5 stars: I could see a lot of reviews/concerns here that's not entirely related to this app. This app is mainly for system web view by the name itself it functions in opening sites within certains apps that has embedded this feature. If you've issues that's not related to website functionality then it's not this app fault.
4 stars: I don't know what this app does. All I know is it keeps my phone functional and current. I've never had a bad experience because I disable or uninstall apps that are unnecessary, unstable or too heavy. I replace them with fewer or better apps. Google is a good place to be.
4 stars: So far, I've not had a problem with this app. According to some of the additional comments that I've read, when other users have updated this app it has the potential to either crash applications and/or the user's phone altogether. Since this app appears to be directly connected to Chrome, I will continue to update it. However, I'll also continue to monitor this app, and whether or not it begins to negatively effect my phone.
3 stars: Android WebView is a pre-installed system component from Google that allows Android apps to display web content. When it works, it works well.👌 But...(regularly) When 'updates' aren't vetted thoroughly before being released, it often causes cascading havoc with all the apps that rely on its WebView functions, crashing many basic system functions. 😒😠
