5 stars: I liked Grim Quest, and I'm enjoying the prequel! It's a similar type of game to Gloomhaven, and a nice self-paced environment. I only wish we could have pets like the first game (since the rat was so OP for early game), but there are a lot of new traits to replace them, so I guess it keeps it balanced. Love that it needs no data/wifi to play. Overall a great, chill, pathfinder game!
2 stars: Too many restrictions like the other grim game, can't upgrade until a certain level, can't buy this or that untill you have done this. Every new game is pretty much the same, became boring very quickly. If you have to restrict players from progressing character development from the start of the game, it is a badly designed game.
