4 stars: Very engaging, great story and surprisingly detailed as far as unit options, research, abilities and so on. A great time killer. Gaining extra Generals is a grind so, that's where the money comes in. Haven't needed to buy anything yet. If you like this style of game, I suggest you try it.
5 stars: A very good game. None of this pay to win stuff you get the days, its perfectly do-able without. The game itself is very fun especially conquest mode. You should be able to get generals a different way but apart from that it's perfect. If you really want an idea of what its like think Rome total war without the in depth battles. Would definitely recommend giving a go.
