3 stars: Like the app - although lots of unnecessary notifications if you don't pay for the upgrade versions. You can turn them off though. Not a fan of the updated version. Now you click and only see one photo at a time, this makes it feel too photo-focused and isn't easy to use. It's too easy to accidentally swipe in the wrong direction. MUCH preferred when you simply scroll down to view profiles.
4 stars: I tried the paid subscription for 3 months and did meet a couple of folks but let it expire because it wasn't worth the cost. Now I I'm getting zero matches. Not trusting the algorithm. I do like the format where you only chat with matches that you feel comfortable with. I've interacted with some nice people so far (seems like very few creeps are on this app). I don't like having to turn on location services every time.
3 stars: I've been on Bumble for about 7mos now. At first it was a bit intimidating to have to make the first move by messaging first. But I've adjusted to it. I do like that we can message, send voice message clips and video chat within the app although sometimes its glitchy on occasion. I wish there was a way that I could only be matched up with people in my city and state. Giving the app a little bit more time though.
