4 stars: Pretty good experience. I can't always find what I'm looking for and the connection sometimes gets lost between my phone and the ANOVA cooker. Overall, I am very happy with the app and the appliance.
3 stars: App has issues connecting the device, but it does eventually connect. There are minor imperfections in the interface that makes life harder but eventually everythink works. The team reached out promptly for the feedback. The app is not one star, but neither is it perfect 5 stars.
3 stars: the app does not maintain bluetooth connection regardless if my phone is kept nearby. as a result, the timing is lost. however, the app sets the temp and amount of time automatically. I always write the time down when it reads hea temperature. cooking is incredible and recipes vast.
5 stars: This is my favorite kitchen tool. I have used my anova non-stop ever since I got it in 2018. This turned out to be one of those devices that function perfectly every time. Controls are very intuitive and I did not need a manual. I keep finding new recipes to try and everything comes out cooked to perfection. The app is great.
5 stars: Love my Anova sous vide cooker and app. If I were to do it again, I'd upgrade to the next level of cooker so I could control it remotely. As in from across town. That's how much I'd use it. So far, the only thing it isn't good for is a whole, intact chicken. That's just my preference though. Chicken breasts, wings, thighs-all great. Best steaks...
