4 stars: Dr. Moku's Hiragana & Katakana apk download - I'm loving the new UI and the edition of Kanji but it removed my purchases for Hiragana and katakana. I've tried restoring it using the button in the more tab but it does nothing. Would appreciate any help.
3 stars: - Really good ideas but needs some work. The audio recognition quiz doesnt work, and the reading is just a vocabulary list. Also when you get a wrong answer in the quiz it should show you the mnemonic to jog your memory. I had to write them all down so that I could do this! Also very cheeky to separate out the upgrades for hiragana/katakana. I won't be buying the second one.
3 stars: - Good to practice but not to learn. I'm using another site to learn hiragana. I like the way that it let's you write to practice the characters... but unless you know every character already, it's pointless. If there were an option to choose which characters to study, it would easily be a 5 star app.
3 stars: - Doesn't crash for me like for other people, but sounds are messed up and jumbled. Other than that, it's a great way to learn the both hiragana and katakana. I wish it were so easy to learn Kanji. You should try adding dakuten to the learning curve, so people will know what they should sound like.
5 stars: - Thank you so much for making this app! My head is like a sieve, so internalising things like this is always an uphill battle. Using this app with your mnemonics is having me retain hiragana so quickly it's almost alarming. I'm going to be working in Japan from next year, so I'm trying to learn as much Japanese as I can before I go. Your app is making the first step so much less daunting. Well worth the money. I can't believe such an effective learning tool is so cheap!
