3 stars: Decent game. The graphics are good and the courses are well-designed. My main complaint is the microtransactions needed to play the game at a higher level. The player hits like a 60 -year old man with the default clubs (my bladed 3i goes almost as far as default driver) and that makes it very difficult to score well on some of the courses at level 50+, since the spin you can generate is tied to the level of clubs and ball you have.
3 stars: I have been a member for several years. The ability to convert coins to a useful currency in order to upgrade equipment would be exceptional, otherwise what is the point. Technically, square ballstrikes go off line, putts hit on center, miss by a mile and at times, yardage numbers are way off. I would like to rate this higher, but these issues make that difficult.
5 stars: I haven't played all the different games available within the app yet, but so far I like the games I play a lot. The experience is fairly close to actually visiting a golf course in real life, but the advantage in playing golf through an app is that you save much time travelling from hole to hole and shot to shot to continue on with a game. It's a good challenge to focus on the game in a consistently, distractingly scenic background.
