5 stars: Excellent for beginners or people who need a refresher. Love that it's interactive and game based, very fun! Wish there were more character matching than Pinyin matching, I find myself remembering the Pinyin and pictures rather than the actual characters, but I'm still in the early stages of the game, so hoping this comes later.
5 stars: I grew up with Cantonese and this has been incredibly helpful. The only thing that's missing is the ability to write the characters. This is great for learning bulk words though!! The 5 minute restriction everyday also is a bummer, I wish we could have some more time on the free version.
4 stars: Really enjoying my 5 minutes of Cantonese a day. Would really love it if this app covered the different tones to begin with and also provided some information on direct translations i.e. the words for spoon contain the material and the object. Most Cantonese speaking people don't use the two words together. This sort of direct translation would help me to remember the words better.
3 stars: Extensive vocabulary lists, good voice pronunciation. There are A LOT of Jyutping errors that need to be corrected. e.g. Pronouns that always use tone 5 (ngo5, keoi5) sometimes have 2 or 1, which aren't even close. These are scattered throughout the app.
