5 stars: This is very good application. Very easy to use, it has native HW transcoding directly on nas supported. Great Application. Works seamlessly on TV, android phones , ipad. well done. Very simple setup and connection to your files on your nas with quickconnect. well done.
4 stars: Definitely works... for the most part. I cannot do anything else on my phone while Casting (to Chromecast) or the video will stop and only be restarted by exiting the application and relaunching. Great app otherwise. Love my Diskstation.
3 stars: Decent app with one major flaw. If I'm Chromecasting a movie for my son, and I try to listen to audio on my phone, it pauses his video. It should be easy to fix this.
4 stars: Some files will not Chromecast direct from the app. However if I use DS file and VLC these files will Chromecast properly.

3 stars: Feels like it's never had a UI update in years, does what it needs but interface is clunky compared to the likes of Plex, Netflix etc. Really wish synology would look at modernising this app or providing a newer alternative with more sleek and 'bells'
3 stars: The latest update has disabled the ability to use the up snd down navigation controls on my IR remote to scroll and select a movie to watch. I can now only use the mouse pointer emulator on the remote, to do this.
