4 stars: I signed up for a 7 day free trial. I enjoyed the app and was able to learn some new vocab. Its pretty easy to use and a nice design. However, I dont think all app functions like challenges and grammar are available for Portuguese learners which is a shame. Therefore i wont be signing up for a full subscription as the price was too steep for someone who is not going to have access to all features like other languages.
3 stars: This is a great learning experience and I enjoy the variety of sentences and words that I'm presented with. Also this app has a pleasing UI. However, the subscription plans are far too expensive compared with other flash card apps. Considering that other language learning apps like Busuu and Duolingo which are more than just flash cards and are cheaper by comparison, it's not worth the price. I'll miss you Lingvist!
5 stars: Love it. Feedback comment--I wish the multiple choice options for the Challenges were not out of consecutive order. Slows me down without adding to the learning experience.
4 stars: PRO the audio pronunciation is fantastic, it uses spaced repetition, and you can make your own decks. CON The only drawback is it needs to work on multiple phrases for the same word.
4 stars: I like the way it chooses a combination of words I may know due to similarity too English along with words that are very different but may have been shown in examples. I really feel that helps a with retention.
