5 stars: After many years of using a Garmin 60 Csx, Garmin quit supporting it so I went in search of a replacement. I settled on View Ranger after trying The Hiking Project, All Trails, Polaris, GPS Waypoints Navigator, and GAIA.. Each of the other apps had at least one of the capabilities of the Garmin that it failed to do well. ViewRanger does them all, plus some.
3 stars: Been using viewranger for a while and been happy with the subscription for the service provided. I was encouraged to change to the 'outdooractive' app by viewranger, as they are intergrateing! .....Guess what! To use similar features...... It costs more for the subscription!
4 stars: I love this app and want to go premium but I am resistant whilst the auto-pilot feature is not available for Android. It seems to have been 'coming soon' for ages.
5 stars: Great app! I still always have a propper map \u0026 compass with me but this is super. Would love the 'autopilot' to be in the 'Plot Route' section like on the iPhone though instead of having to manually put in every way point that would be cool pleeeeeaaaase 😊👍🏻
5 stars: Love this app ,easy to use, great for planning days out and hikes ,use with walkhighlands defo recommend,Update- VR Best app out there,why do I have to change over to outdoor active please leave VR as a standalone app already pay for premium why should have to pay more for an app i don't want , if VR goes then , sorry but I will be gone to .
