3 stars: This app presents a series of problems the user is supposed to figure out. It does that well enough. The problem is there is no instruction at all, so the app tells you when you make an incorrect move, but it does not say why the move is incorrect. Sometimes the error is obvious, but often enough I have no idea what I was supposed to do. In the end, not very helpful.
5 stars: This app got me out of a losing streak so I would greatly recommend downloading this one.
5 stars: Be advised: there is NO instructional material in this particular app. It is simply a collection of positions (broken down into sections by the openings from which they arise) where the opposing side has misplayed the opening and a tactical shot exists to gain an advantage. If you choose the wrong line, the app will show you the refutation without comment. It is still valuable training. Chess King rocks.
