5 stars: I don't know why people are so stingy lmao. It literally takes 2 dollars to unlock everything and I think that's a fair price! You even get an extra 50 rubies as a leftover and you can do a lot with that. Absolute fun and addicting review/learning game. Nice job. I needed something to practice my katakana and this is great.
3 stars: It was alright game for intro into Japanese letters, but disliked how you have to unlock the next dungeon with more rubies than what you get from the previous. 1st dungeon only has 13 levels and 2nd dungeon requires 50 to unlock. Beyond watching 20 ads to get 20 rubies a day I don't see a free way to progress. Ain't got time for that
5 stars: Great little game to learn Japanese and freshen up my Hiragana/Katakana knowledge. It's definitely not necessary to pay to progress, unless you go through the lessons incredibly fast. Otherwise doing the daily challenges will be enough to get you through. The energy model can be constraining, but is only annoying if you use this as your only study method (which you shouldn't).
3 stars: The two major detractors are the automatic gating of levels beyond the first behind a pay wall, and the inability to scale the vocab for more advanced learners.
4 stars: Works decently as a fun practice, but when you get 5 te's and 2 chi's yet no tsu, ta or to's makes actual practice/learning unreliable.
