3 stars: Toriko is a fun, cute puzzle game time waster. Unfortunately, the main problem with this game is that it has no real substance. Apart from some almost useless currency, there's no motivation for you to win. There is a multiplayer mode, but it's 50/50 if there's anyone online, and the ranking system is impenetrable. Until this game gets some meat on its bones, it's a fun work distraction for a few months, and that's all.
3 stars: I enjoy the game itself, but the ranking system leaves much to be desired. Getting a really high winstreak is sometimes a matter of luck (matching against weaker opponents). Continuously matching against much slower/faster opponents is also not fun for either party. Furthermore, I do believe the game is being abused. Some players just quit matches in which they are losing just to preserve their winstreak. An MMR system in which players match against others of similar skill will be much better. Losses from things like quitting/disconnecting can also count as losses in this case as it would not be too punishing for the player as the MMR will just fall slightly. Just my 2 cents. Edit: Abuse of some system to preserve winstreaks is definitely happening and you need to look into how it is happening because I've played against people whose winstreaks were preserved after they lost. The way they lost was also strange as they would not have overflowed and I had not completed the 120, which is why I suspected disconnects.
