4 stars: I would give this a five-star except for the fact that it's behind a little bit compared to a couple other navigation apps. The alert that you get for red-light/speed cameras is barely audible whereas with Waze there is a nice loud vocal announcement. TomTom amigo has a nice loud alert. Google maps needs to incorporate something similar. Which is funny because waze is owned by Google..so not sure why maps is behind on something like that.
4 stars: I really have a great experience in using Google maps. I find it easier to reach unknown places with great accuracy and easy to know that place with the help of street view. I just want to know that if there is any possibility in improving the maps with an option like on
3 stars: I don't know what's going on with the new update, Map not getting my location. When I start driving, the map shows I am standing at my last location. And then it syas searching for location. And stop. When I close and reopen again, it works ok. That's why I gave only 3 stars. Once problems Get solve. I will change it.
2 stars: The most recent update did not fix a very annoying issue that is relatively recent... When you close the app while navigating and the mini navigation window is displayed, it no longer continuously updates the remaining distance before the next turn. Instead it shows you the initial distance until the next turn, and the only way to get real time updates is by opening up the app. Why this huge fail?!
