4 stars: It is a great app aside from annoyances. First, the catalog is both unable to be sorted by any metric (brightness!), and does not synchronize with the time machine's set time. Second, activating the compass snaps back the time machine to the current time. Third, the magnitude slider is useful, but does not simulate light pollution in terms of horizons or other in my meaningful way.
3 stars: It's a great app to learn about star locations and constellations and is an amazing educational tool. The only thing that kills my review is the absolute abundance of ads. I'm not the type to complain about this kind of thing, but the fact that an ad pops up after almost every other interaction with the app is just ridiculous. It would be great if you could tone down on the advertisement frequency, maybe every 2 minutes or so.
