5 stars: Excellent. Great for casual gamers seeking to play battle ship, but lots of great features to spice things up a little bit for those seeking a bit more. Solid animations, sounds and voice overs. Really just wanted to play battleship but found myself quickly sucked into the customizing after being pleasantly surprized with the simple and yet satisfying game play. The vibration for each hit, is a huge plus for me as well.

4 stars: too many ads. otherwise, pretty good. Edit: the ads are gone with a one time payment rather than a subscription, which I'm super happy about. Upping my rating from your 3 to 4. The last star is out of reach because I don't support the micro transaction model. I'd much rather pay once for a game i like and have every part of it in one go.
5 stars: Very easy to use options for modes, game is exactly as I hoped it would be. There are enough advertisements which I can go without but they're not super annoying. I like that you can change the look of your ships as you find blueprints in games. I haven't started using the gold to buy other ship types but that seems like a neat idea as well
