4 stars: Gave up on Evernote as it kept breaking. Keep was reliable but lacked features. This isn't as pretty as either but does a great job syncing between phone, desktop, and my surface go. Things I'd like to change: 1. hierarchical nesting of notebooks - sometimes I just want a notebook without any subsections. 2. Choice of default view when you open the app - I want to go straight to my notebooks, not recent notes.
4 stars: Absolutely fantastic for note taking, both on my laptop and phone. I can easily take quick notes while out and about, then reorganise them when I get to my computer. Good functionality for inserting images, links, text, tables, documents, emails. Then I can arrange them, link them and highlight them. Add to that, there is infinite space. Only thing that would make it better is collapsible tree structures for better visual organisation.
5 stars: I like to cut and paste from almost any where to my OneNote then get back to it later on another device or my computer then print to PDF when I'm done or share save to PDF to the cloud so I can make a hard copy later, I have even copied pictures from Google Voice to OneNote so far I'm very pleased. When on line from my PC OneNote has dictate.
