5 stars: Great offline dictionary with many features even without payment. But if you want extras (like really cool flashcards - check out the Pleco forum to download awesome user made flashcard bundles, and costumize everything about the way it prompts you) you can pay for exactly what you want and the prices are totally fair :)
5 stars: Nearly 100% accuracy on detecting my Hanzhi scrawl. I actually bought the OCR function which is something I almost never do for apps. The standard that a lot of other pictograph language apps should be measure by in terms of recognition.

I would be dead twenty times over from mistranslated texts from my grandparents if not for Pleco. I owe it my sanity and soul.
