4 stars: This is a great language app, taking quite a different approach from Duolingo which I also find useful. It helps you to find texts at your level and gives you the audio for that text. While I understand it is a commercial operation, I wonder if there might be ways to make the free version a bit less frustrating while I decide if I can afford the full version
5 stars: I am thrilled by and addicted to this app. It is extremely rich in features and content. Most important to me is the opportunity to learn to understand a speaker, something you cannot get adequately from other systems. My only criticism is that the user interface for the app is confusing. I still haven't figured out what some of the numbers and symbols mean.
4 stars: So far, I am impressed. It has been simple enough to use. I am particularly impressed with the speed the app has learned my ability to speak a language. It saves the few words I don't understand, rather than checking which ones I do. The free account seems limited if you are learning more than one or two other languages.
5 stars: Really convenient. For someone who often lacks the motivation to crack open a textbook that is key. Really helps with vocabulary and common grammatical structures. Although a lot of the time, especially early on, you will be on your own when it comes to deciphering a complex phrase or structure, in my view that's part of the experience.
