5 stars: Super cool that something like this even exists. We've used it to help us in locating places we needed to get to, of course - but also just for the fun of it, too. It's really neat to be given the ability to view seemingly any place's surroundings and location, and to do it from angles that let you view every detail. I would definitely recommend!
5 stars: I use Google earth to plan trips with buddies and use it to find trails, mine dumps for rockhounding, and deep spots to do some diving on lakes and what not and it has revolutionized our methods of getting new places. Just wish I knew how to get new photos of the places I'd like to go, but it is incredible!

3 stars: Pretty wonky for such a high profile app. I have had GE forever and always had a problem with it suddenly ceasing to function. The icon is there, the file is in the right place, but it ghosts me, like. Sometimes the little earth icon disappears and a blank white file icon being used instead. Then I have to uninstall and reinstall. It's a pain.
