5 stars: It is one of those apps that I use very infrequently, but when I do, I get fully immersed in it. The 2D views are good enough to meet common questions and curiosities, but the 3D renderings of the Himalayan peaks or the Grand Canyon simply blow my mind! I keep wondering, how Google can do it? Short of being in those impossible-to-be places, this is the best App to take you there, virtually and practically!
5 stars: There's a lot of complainers in here, as usual, but this is an amazing app. It's fast, smooth and works very well. I just wondered one thing: on the Google Earth Pro desktop app you can click on a sun icon and see where the light and shadows fall at any selected time. This is amazing for photographers. Are there any plans to roll that feature into the mobile app as it would be incredibly convenient and useful to have that on a phone?
4 stars: Update on review from 2019. Still doesn't have topography tools and such like the desk top version in which I don't own a computer. Still a great app and works well as long as you're not seeking tools to check you property elevations. I like to build topographic architectural models out of cardstock in my free time and this just doesn't help especially when the areas are small. I can't justify buying a computer solely for this purpose.
4 stars: Pretty good. I wish they'd just leave areas they don't have actual footage of as just blurs though. Its somewhat confusing when trees are just cut and pasted to fil...
