5 stars: Installed this version after repeated attempts with the old apps. Called and got advice from the app developer, they walked me through the setup. And I must say this works flawlessly. I'm using it on a pro 4 vertical smoker. All functions temperature time etc. Are dead accurate, couldn't be happier with both the smoker and the app and it's connectivity on Bluetooth. I don't have Wi-Fi router so cannot comment on that.
4 stars: Definitely a working improvement for me over the legacy version. I do miss the black background, and wish my target probe temps quit disappearing when the app stopped. It would also be nice if landscape mode worked for keeping the app open with the phone on a kickstand.
3 stars: So far, so good. The units are backwards and the grill controls look fairly plain, but the connectivity seems good. Overall a major improvement from the old app.
