4 stars: Messenger is user-friendly, I use it to keep in touch with family who live out of town. and to send bigger videos and batches of photos that won't send over text. I gave it for a stars because there have been a few errors over the years, but fairly minimal. I would recommend this app for communication to others
3 stars: App used to work perfect but the terrible implementation of encrypted messages have ruined the experience. Much slower to jump to a previous message thanks to that horrible implementation, and it also broke the message showing on Android Auto as its always the first message that shows when a new message appears. Whoever thought of forcing users to use the encrypted system is not a genius.
3 stars: these last few daya have been awful! A bunch of messages are showing as can't be viewed in this version of the app. my app is up to date, the other members in my group chat that are having the same issue all use different models of phones and have the same problem. un-installed and reinstalled on all of our phones didn't fix the problem.
2 stars: (Took away a star for having paid reviews here.) Messanger no longer sends notifications properly. Opening messenger doesn't fix it and you need to go into the chat itself to see if theres a new message. Sometimes you do get notification, randomly.
