5 stars: Excellent game. Much better than most of the railroad games where all you do is upgrade everything. This game you actually have to route and lay your tracks. Set way points for your trains. Research more powerful trains. There is a sandbox mode. It's definitely worth the $5 to unlock all chapters. I used my game points and only had to pay $0.99 out of pocket.
4 stars: Great game. It is nearly perfect. Huge step from the first edition. Recommendation. Couple comments to designers: Get my much harder sandbox option please. Why I can't build a brigde on a hill to get smaller slope? Looks like the game is ready for that. Auto parallel rail mode building is too close to each other, it has issues in curves. Good luck!
4 stars: 4 star with 5 star potential. I purchased the steam package in support. I personally would like sandbox mode to be improved. Make it truly sandbox. Features like building your own resource buildings and even cities. Option for money or being unlimited...could kick it up another notch with terrain editor too (rivers, elevation, etc). Overall, an enjoyable game to pass the time
2 stars: like the improvements compared to the previous version. but I find it difficult to set another route in a multiple-tracked station. whenever I wanna set another route via another parallel track in the station, it keeps on setting point A in the 1st, original, already occupied track. it's really frustrating not getting an efficient operation.
