5 stars: I have used (and still use) Duolingo, Drops, and skritter for Chinese practice, and I've tried a few other apps as well. This one is hands down the best so far. I had a brief moment of confusion about the interface but since then it has given me exactly the level of challenge that I need to feel like I'm learning but not overwhelmed.
5 stars: I speak Chinese at home, but I mainly wanted to improve the amount of characters I can read. Even for a native speaker, this app can provide the right level of challenge and provide me with new things to learn. I haven't been bothered by ads or request to get a premium version so far, thus I really do recommend this app.
4 stars: I don't like when questions require you to know something, which the app didn't properly introduce. Like I understand you can hover to know the meaning, but why not just introduce for example
4 stars: Mostly great. One thing works on my cheap Android phone but not on Samsung Tab E: when recording speech clicking to and and submit recording does not work. So I have to wait minutes for it to time out before I can continue. That isn't a problem on the cheap phone but of course the phone screen is smaller. App content is great though.
3 stars: Only first level(HSK1) is free. Teaches only simplified characters, no option to switch to traditional - not helpful in taiwan
