3 stars: Seems like a decent app for playing against the computer and other players. The rather jarring stone-down sound seems to be impossible to turn off, even with it set to off and the device volume turned down. And the screen lock should be inhibited when a game is being played. It's very irritating when the screen turns of when you are thinking. It should also be possible to turn the distracting atari warning off.
4 stars: this game does a lot. you can set up a problem, and it has a wide variety of skill levels. my complaint is the pop up adds, you even get them in airplane mode. plus they mute the music I'm listening to, just to play a commercial. just run a banner across the bottom of the screen. I am playing my music because I want to listen to it!!!
3 stars: The quality of the AI is excellent, and will provide all except the very best players with a serious challenge. However, recently the advertising has become much more intrusive and distracting. The providers need a serious rethink if this app is to stay on my phone much longer.
