3 stars: A bit of an odd application. On the one hand, you get the ability to take pictures of plants and flowers and have the app attempt to match them with likely candidates. Very cool \u0026 educational. On the other hand, after the last update the ability to 'select' whichever is your identified choice is.....gone?! No button....nada. Then what use is the app??
4 stars: Great app, large plant database and so far, it's gotten it every time. I don't like how they trick you into going premium (20$ charge comes automatically after 7 days if you don't remember to change your preferences). Actually, I originally gave it a bad review because of that, but have come back to change it because it ended up performing so well.
3 stars: This app seems pretty good after a few uses; it's full of good information and seems to be quite accurate in its identifications. However, it pushes the premium version very hard, nagging you everytime the app opens and it's not immediately obvious how to proceed without the trial. If after time, the app stops nagging me, I'll upgrade the rating, but as of now, I'm finding the trial prompts to be a big turn off for an otherwise good app.
5 stars: Amazing functionality. Tried it on a hike and had absolutely no problems. Subscription price($30/y) is a little steep for someone who only goes into the wilderness once a month or maybe less, but it may be worth it for someone else. I would gladly pay around $30 for my purposes if it wasn't sub base...
