4 stars: Works very well. You can find all sorts of things easily. I deductedc1 star because the android version doesn't do A.R. Also, it dims quickly and when you touch the screen to bring back the full brightness, it freezes up for a few seconds. I could not find a setting to change the timing for the screen dimming.
4 stars: I could revise this to 5 stars, but I just got this app and am still exploring it. Great features for a free app. I love the display customization. Great catalogue of objects for free - including comets, which is why I was looking around for a new sky app. I would like to be able to scale the opacity of the classical constellation art separate from the constellation lines.
5 stars: Great information and easy to jump into. There also appears to be a lot of depth to other features that I'm still learning about. Some unexpected sounds and notifications to deal with in settings initially but I've been really impressed! Been recommending it to friends already.
4 stars: It's a reasonably good app, but the compass does not accurately calibrate to north, and it's incredibly annoying that i have to keep tapping my screen to keep the app alive while using it. Really would be helpful if those could be addressed by the developer and fixed
5 stars: SkySafari has helped so much with learning the night sky and identifying objects. Much easier to use than star charts, and with greater functionality for me. Friends and family have appreciated my passing...
