4 stars: This is a fairly decent implementation of Hive but one thing missing which I think would look great is a night/OLED type mode. IE Pure black background with a slim white/colored border around the black pieces when in this mode. Would also make the carbon set really pop!

5 stars: Easy to learn and challenging to master, Hive is an excellent strategy game with a depth to its tactics. Each game is quick but every game seems very different. This app is a faithful implementation of the physical version with completely intuitive controls and an AI that's more than capable.
4 stars: A decent implementation of an abstract game. As a beginner I'd like to see the pieces move, just to understand the mechanics better. The instantaneous transitions are probably better when you have more experience.
5 stars: Exactly the same as the board game. Simple controls, great tutorials and no ads. The monetization is very reasonable, the 3 expansion pieces are $2 each.
