3 stars: I downloaded the app on my tablet and iPhone a while back and have enjoyed it. But tonight when I used my tablet to send a message, it would not let me in. Instead it sends me to a page to install Messenger. Can only access on my phone, now. Can't access any messages on the tablet. What's up?
3 stars: Messenger is an all-in app or it used to be. Why remove the feature of selecting photos through different folders? It's kind of a hassle to scroll down just to find that one photo I have long before saved in my phone and moved into a new folder.
4 stars: One of the greatest downgrades of this update was the absence of the 'albums' option when I send pictures. It's either I have to scroll down really far into my photos or have to look for the picture itself then use the share feature. It's inconvenient. It would really be better if the the option to choose from specific albums would be brought back.
4 stars: I like the dark theme. Though I feel there's way too many things going on in Messenger. The alternative is Messenger Lite, or rather there's a choice between ALL or nothing. If I could I'd turn off Stories, the Discover/People tabs and the third party functionality. The interface is needlessly busy with things I don't use and I bet it impacts the fluidity of the app.
