4 stars: Ok the instructions are awful. But easy once you figure it out. 1) Download Alexa Socket 2 by same developer. Make your account login there and it'll work for the ama app as well. 2) Fill whatever you want for account name, put in your email THEN push authorization code and WAIT until you get an email with an authorization code then enter the code AND your double matching passwords and hit SUBMIT. Hardest part done. Delete the Alexa outlet app. Download the AMA app and login with email and password you just created. Follow directions in outlet box to connect the plug to your WiFi. It's not kidding about only working with 2.4 GHz I had to switch on my phone before things worked. The next tricky part is when you long press and the outlet blinks red you have to check a TINY yes box on your phone screen prior to being able to hit next. I got it a set up and put it on timer. Then I followed the instructions to bind it to Google home. Then I use my Google Assistant to turn it on and off. Very cool. Not exactly obvious though
