3 stars: Button positions have changed in a recent update, including the shutter button(!). All of my years of muscle memory (meaning I don't have to look at the screen) have me clicking the wrong thing all the time now. I don't see the benefit of the new placements, like swapping the gallery and selfie buttons to opposite sides from where they were before. Sounds minor, but in practice it's pretty disruptive. Blah.
3 stars: Updated to Android 14 makes the camera app zoom not intuitive. The UX needs to be fixed. When you first turn on the camera, it shows the option to zoom. When I want to use the wide angle I swipe to the right. When I press on the screen to zoom out, the camera will zoom in instead. The zooming is opposite of what the UI presents to you as a user.
2 stars: ***PLEASE FIX THIS!*** When I take a photo and click on its thumbnail to preview and then select EDIT, it now takes over 25 seconds for it to open in photos. ☹️ Also the sound quality is really bad if we record a heavy bass environment, the treble eventually mutes out and we only hear the bass.... Not good. And zooming in 5x while filming makes a weird stutter, like a shift in angle/lens.
2 stars: Auto focus is ridiculously inconsistent. When using the X4 zoom it barely uses the actual camera and instead goes for digital zoom. Wish you would add a
