4 stars: Very useful. My only complaint is I can't open or save files over the network. Almost every app now gives the option of opening files using a third party app (like a file manager that can access network or VPN locations). The weird thing is, even Outlook that comes with the same Office suite can do this, but not Word or Excel. Dear Microsoft: I'm not interested in Onedrive. Stop crippling your software trying to force me into it.
4 stars: Overall the Android app works pretty well. It is missing a few features that are fairly standard in the desktop version. It seems to have some issues with fonts causing it to crash sometimes. Trying to line things up specifically can be a mind-numbing chore which doesn't seem to work all the time. But if you need to edit a word document in a pinch and all you've got is a smartphone, it's at least something.
3 stars: Good for simple editing, with a compact but expandable toolbar and friendly UI. It's got the essentials, but for advanced Office users it's not ideal. There are formatting tools hiding behind the Office 365 pay-wall, like fonts, while others (Page Break) are non-present. I'd hesitate to recommend this, but it is likely the cleanest word processing app.
