5 stars: Seems to be stable on my Pixel 7 Pro. The only thing I want is smoother switching between cameras with zoom. For those with the app crash problem: did you perform a data transfer when setting up your new Pixel? Try a clean setup, without data transfer, because it always brings different problems and glitches. + Agree. We need Pro-mode for settings.
5 stars: **Edit** After speaking to a tech. I found out that there was faulty hardware in my phone. So if your phone is doing what is explained below. It's a possibility that you have the same issue. I did. The camera app works flawlessly now. ********Since I got my pixel 6. Right out of the box this app causes my whole system to crash and reboot. Rather frustrating
4 stars: Great app but not perfect. The flash over-exposure is still a problem on my Pixel XL with version 6.2.031. This has been the case since the new interface was introduced a few months ago. The flash works fine if I let the camera do autofocus without touching the screen. As soon as I tap the screen to focus on something close the exposure gets messed up and I get a picture of almost pure white. I went back to 5.3.015 and all is fine.
