Yes, it's challenging, fun to play and there's loads of free stuff, but unless you throw a significant amount of money at it, your chances of getting any decent club cards or balls is miniscule and the match ups in tournaments are completely unfair and unbalanced. Overall its OK for a bit of fun but if you want to really get into it you gotta splash the cash!

My only gripe is players that are willing to spend money regularly will have a lot of one-time use golf balls that can allow another player to drastically outperform you, with little recompense other than to use one-time use balls yourself (of which you can only get a small amount for free).
