Goku Battle: Shin Budokai is the story mode of Budokai. Xenoverse Battle: Goku Budokai It is based on the movie Goku Battle Reborn. As the player moves along in the story, different fights will show up, such as a friendly competition or a showdown against evil.

The player on a trip to see the events from Reborn in a totally revamped way; things that were in the movie are different in the game.
