3 stars: Bad English. The graphics, music and gameplay are very good. However the English grammar and spelling are awful. The shogi pieces are left in their original kanji state so as someone who cannot read kanji, it feels more like a symbol matching game. If the developers can recruit a native English speaker to edit their translations, the game would be much better. It would also be helpful if you could pull up instructions mid-game.

3 stars: needs a rewrite for most of the text as well as proofreading by someone adept at English sentence structure and grammar. could also benefit from alternate identification characters for the pieces. other than those two points i find it to be a fairly solid game.
