5 stars: Love this app! For Christmas, I got a google home or aka a nest mini. This app has been very easy and convenient. I am sure some people have different experiences. My favorite is where you can control your devices from your power menu. This changes the game. It doesn't look like you need it but I could not recommend it more. Overall very satisfied.
4 stars: Want to put 4 1/2 stars but can't. It is either 80% or 100%. Quite a gap ! Only thing against the Home app (against most apps) is the changes that are done only for the sake of change, and the time you lose having to relearn how to do a particular action like
3 stars: It was much easier when google chromecast had its own app, not Google home. I never had ANY issuses connecting my chromecast device, not with WiFi OR any cell phones or tablets. I have any older chromecast device that I never had problems connecting. Until the day this new
