5 stars: best game ever
5 stars: I've been following this story since the demo and REALLY thrilled when it finally out. I love the way the story flows and I can't wait for book 2 😍😍👏 and can't wait for the slow burnt romance~~!! 👑
4 stars: I like this enough, but the pacing is a little off. The romances could have been developed more before they began and the epilogue comes in what feels like the climax. I was left confused and thought the plot with the war was just completely skipped over until I realized this was a series and not one book. I do however really like the premise and from what we learn about the characters, they're pretty neat.
2 stars: What begins as a decent plot that's only mildly hampered by stilted dialogue quickly devolves into a juvenile mess. Choices rarely seem to matter or mesh with thier consequences, there are too many stats that, again, never seem to make a difference to the plot, and the dialogue ranges wildly from stilted to melodrama to completely nonsensical conversations. This isn't helped by the final several chapters intermittently
