4 stars: My child lost the remote control and I'm not paying $30 for a replacement! I figured there just has to be an app for that! Low and behold, there it was just waiting for me to download it! It works great, missing some features of the true firetruck remote but at least we can watch TV and change channels or apps!
3 stars: It Functions. I'd like more control over the menus. I'd like more control over what it recommended to me.. I'm not sure where it gets its algorithms, but pushing sports on someone who is NEVER EVER going to like sports is a waste of both our time, energy, and money. 4 stars: It works pretty well. My phone doesn't even need to be connected to the same wifi. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that. When the screen saver in on. Or when I disconnect my app from the firestick. Either through time or whatever. It's very difficult to get the app to connect again. Sometimes I even have to shut off my firestick. But other than that issue its a solid app and worth downloading.
3 stars: Works great when it's working but it also often cuts back and forth between working and not working even when the other devices are working just fine. Lack of a power button is also kind of a con. All that said it's still better than having nothing to control the tv with.
