5 stars: Edit 8/25/21: been my go-to app but recently noticed more ads..relentless. Uninstalled! ---- Good selection of podcasts, able to download episodes to sd card, great sleep timer. Only request add a one-time paid option to get rid of ads. It's so annoying will uninstall and go back to podbean.
3 stars: Pretty good for podcasts - I'm able to subscribe to and add whatever podcasts I'm listening to,which is useful. However,adding podcasts to specific labels is very difficult, so I can't sort or organize what I'm listening to. Other than that,it's not too bad .
3 stars: Edit: tried this app again, ads are obtrusive and premium pricing is ridiculous. Get Podcast republic! When I connect Bluetooth castbox starts playing before any music app, even if castbox is supposed to be closed! Castbox keeps running in the background and hijacks Bluetooth playback. No thanks! I'll find another podcast app.
3 stars: Works great functionally, but ads too intrusive, with no one time payment option, only subscription to remove them. Ads are full screen popups that have to be closed manually, and timelocked so you can't skip past them until some time is passed. Then the skip button position is set by the ad, so changes all the time. I listen to podcasts while driving to work, ads make this app too dangerous to use. Uninstalled for alternative.
