4 stars: As a 4X game, this is not for you action junkies out there - it takes time to build resources and strength, and there are LOTS of things to manage. Great if you like customizing and micro-managing. Thankfully, though there are micro-purchases to be had, you do not need any of them to enjoy the game. If space opera strategy is what you like, then this is a solid choice.
3 stars: This latest update i literally just downloaded and instantly it won't log into the game. Says connection issues when it didn't have any issues 10 minutes earlier. If it does let me in the game, it lasts 30 to 40 secs then boots me off. Been playing less than a week. Not a good way to keep a player. Oh, and the connection issues are not on my end. I can log into any of the hundreds of things available to me with no issues whatsoever.
3 stars: Very similar to star trek timelines, no real depth, you hit the (pay)wall at level 10 + for upgrading. Tedious but ok for passing the time. Not much depth after you figure it out. All these games are the same. You could spend a fortune on this, while the whole pc stellaris sells for about $100.00 and mods to turn it into almost any sci fi franchise out there. You will be crushed by the wallet in this game.
