4 stars: The app itself is fine, it would be nice if I were able to easily move it to external storage in the same way you can with the BBC sport app. Too many apps don't seem to allow this and take up room on your phone's internal memory. I know there are ways around this, but it would be easier if the app just allowed it, unless I am not understanding, and it is not to do with the app development.
3 stars: Declining quality. Seemingly prompted to log into my BBC account every time I follow the link to the live daily briefing for COVID-19. Video is often for a different story than the headline underneath it suggests. Lots of variations on the same storries rather than a wider variety of stories. Frustrating
4 stars: A varied content of up to date stories and relevant information at your fingertips. The latest headlines regarding home grown issues and those from further afield. I especially like the long reads they are indepth, informative and well researched. The feature articles are also of a high quality and cover varied and diverse topics. Of all the sections, i probably use the video articles the least as i like to read as opposed to visual news.
4 stars: The app brings together the latest news headlines as well as press opinions. There are some oddities though. Some headline videos, when run, play a different clip. The app also reverts to a web browser to show content. The best feature is the instant notification of breaking stories.
