5 stars: I've used signal for a couple of years now and it is just smoother than any other messaging app. Sharing images is sometimes weird after using other apps but nothing about this app has been an issue. You can import contacts / messages so even if others don't use it, you can keep everyone on one list. I've never used the calling function but I'm sure it's just as good as the rest of the app.
4 stars: There are some functionality problems. Occasionally messages don't send or receive properly. I would very much like it if there was a ability to schedule a message or send multiple images to someone who does not also use signal. But overall I like the security that it offers and I'm not switching from it anytime soon
5 stars: Awesome. If you don't have it, then fix that and get it. Talk, text, message, video message and file transfer, even to your own PC via the Windows signal app. Only down side is your ID is your phone number. If you don't want to use your current number then an easy fix is to use an old phone, or swap out the SIM card in your current phone with a free sim card to setup a signal account. Job done.
