5 stars: I don't know what apps actually use it but Android WebView is a system component powered by Chrome (who doesn't love Chrome??) that allows Android apps to display web content. This component is pre-installed on your device (thanks Google...) and should be kept up to date to ensure you have the latest security updates and other bug fixes because security is important!

4 stars: 10/08/19 webview installing hung. I managed to get it installed after I ;stopped Chrome in settings Apps, still hanging ; stopped the install and restarted my Pixel 2 then restarted the update and it installed successfully. So if your having the same problem try that. Good luck.
3 stars: In my OnePlus 7 (android 10) it has been in an infinite loop of installing since morning (around 10 hrs). And this doesn't allow new and old apps to install or update. Please look into this. Thank you for looking into this. Now this has been installed.
