5 stars: We all use it exclusively now. Excellent under the hood but can have echoing screeching issues regularly on speakerphone. I wish there were a full color range to choose from or ability to use theme backgrounds as well as the UI gets boring fast. I still highly recommend. These guys are doing a public service and they are unsung heroes.
5 stars: Love this app. Its encrypted and seems pretty safe and private but sometimes it lags behind. Between the Android and Apple...not a too big of a deal as long as its encrypted and private messaging. It's hard to find any messaging app that compares to Signal unless you want to pay big price for it. Plus it comes with all these cute gifs and private keyboard. And no screenshot options.
5 stars: This is the most user friendly encryption I'm aware of, and while that can encourage less caution, this app is very good at alerting users to possible concerns without overwhelming casual users. Don't think you have anything to hide? I can't imagine you're reading this far, but if you're on the fence remember that it can secure your chats from a thief looking to scam friends.
4 stars: Signal is great, but not perfect. Primarily, I don't want to share my contact list. which Signal then uses to let non-friends on my contact list know that I'm using signal. Also, not being able to use the Signal app on all my cell phones at the same time is a pain. Compared to most modern software, though, Signal is great.
