4 stars: I use the pro version on my ipad and it is great for writing or at the scope. The android version is really nice to have in my pocket. Always there when i need it. Wish it had the RA \u0026 DEC for planets for daytime hunting. But the convenience and accuracy make up for it.

5 stars: This is a really cool app. I've used it to look at the stars with my daughter, and we both really like using it. You can see what is around you, using your phone's compass, learn about each planetary event coming up, and even get a description of each planetary phenomenon. I highly recommend it.
3 stars: Great star map option on Google Play Store. I love that you can zoom out to get your bearings which is missing on a lot of the competition. One problem - my phone uses soft buttons for home and back, but the app doesn't hide them. This is not a big deal except in an astronomy app where glaring white lights can mess you up.
4 stars: Very good app for checking the objects in the night sky. Took time to get the feel of it after using Google Sky. No setting to set the limiting magnitude for comets and asteroids. So, the display would get cluttered if comets are selected.
