3 stars: It's great for learning the basics. But I'd like to see a couple of features that would be helpful. One would be adding a chat or section where you can do more to write or say to practice. When I wish to converse with my boyfriend I try to apply things I learn, but without knowing the placement or why they have certain grammar rules would be helpful. Otherwise I enjoy the lessons and the ability to review.
3 stars: There are frequent inaccuracies where the audio does not match the written text in the question, leading to false negative results. Also, the forced screen rotation to portrait in the latest update is highly annoying as it forces me to use the virtual keyboard of my tablet instead of the physical one. The language level is pretty low, even in advanced mode. I should have started right there instead of wasting time on the lower levels.
4 stars: It's good to learn the basics, but my Afrikaans husband has said that some of the phrases/ sentences would not be completely accurate in conversation. The only thing that REALLY annoys me is how the soundclip sometimes doesn't match the text. So "ek het 'n kar" has been written, and the vocal says, "ek het 'n motor," as an example. Highly annoying and confusing when I was a beginner. But I really enjoy using this app otherwise, I've purchased Premium. It keeps me refreshed.
